I am a lucky girl. My family truly showers me with blessings each and everyday. And even when our world clouds up, I always try to find the silver lining.
On October 17, 2008 my husband, Glenn, was diagnosed with Mulitple Myeloma a rare bone cancer. He is the father of our three active sons and one beautiful little girl. We have been happily married for 13 years and are planning to do everything we can to make sure we celebrate many more.
Although our lives have been turned upside down, we are continuing to homeschool our children and make the best of our situation. My Catholic faith has kept me strong and reminded me that with God anything is possible. In my darkest hours He is my light.
Hi Guys, we continue to pray for Glenn and the family. Glad to see that he’s doing a bit better.
Dear Irene,
Thank you for the recent update and introduction to your blog about Glenn and the family. What a blessing to be in such a beautiful place while you all handle this life journey. Mary H. Was at my home yesterday so I shared the update with her as well. We are both praying for a positive outcome to Glenn’s treatment. Please give him a gentle hug from us! I enjoy seeing pics of the kids as well. Yes they do grow fast! Matt is almost as tall as me, as I’m sure “Bookworm” is! Take care of your precious family.
Hi Irene,
Just found your blog – I went to high school with Glenn (and siblings:) ) Your kids are beautiful! I am adding Glenn to my ongoing prayers for St Peregrine to intercede – and of course, your entire family.
God bless,
Lora
